Upon Arrival in Leh be greeted and transferred to the hotel. After welcome tea/ coffee/ breakfast on arrival, take complete rest for acclimatization to the high altitude of Leh (11,500 ft / 3500 mtrs). In the late afternoon drive to the city centre for an orientation walk in the markets, followed by a visit to Shanti Stupa. Dinner & overnight at the hotel
In the morning visit Shey Palace, Thiksey Monastery and Stok Palace Museum. After lunch at the hotel visit Magnetic Point, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and the or 'Temple of Guardians'(Gon-khang) in Spituk monastery, revered by Hindu devotees as Kali-Mandir. Dinner & overnight at hotel
After breakfast drive to Khardong-La (80 kms round trip), highest motorable pass in the world (alt 18,380 ft.) and recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records. On the drive back from the pass, you will be rewarded with spectacular views of the Indus Valley and the endless peaks of the Zanskar range. Rest of the day free to explore the markets. Dinner & overnight at hotel
