The Kingdom of Cambodia has a land area of 181,035 square kilometers in the southwestern part of the Indochina peninsula. Cambodia is particularly known for its ancient Hindu Temples. There are two great complexes of ancient temples in Southeast Asia, one at Bagan in Burma, the other at Angkor in Cambodia.

The temples of Angkor, built by the Khmer civilization between 802 and 1220 AD, represent one of humankind's most astonishing and enduring architectural achievements. Angkor Wat, built during the early years of the 12th century, honors the Hindu God Vishnu and is a symbolic representation of Hindu cosmology.

The climate can generally be described as tropical. As the country is affected by monsoon, it is hot and humid with an overage temperature around 27.C (80.F). There are two distinct seasons: the Rainy Season and the Dry Season. However, the Dry Season is divided into two sub-seasons, cool and hot. Khmer is the official language and spoken by 95 per cent of the population. Chinese and Vietnamese are also spoken. English is now a more popular language to learn among the younger generation

All Indian citizens entering Cambodia must possess valid passport and Cambodia visa. The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of entry into Cambodia.
